Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton Morgan are set to come together once again for a sequel to 'One Tree Hill.'

Hilarie Burton Morgan and Sophia Bush are set to return to their roles in a sequel series to One Tree Hill, which Netflix is developing. They will also take on the role of executive producers, collaborating with their former co-star Danneel Ackles. Warner Bros. Television, the original producer of One Tree Hill, will support the sequel, with Becky Hartman Edwards, known for her work on Firefly Lane, writing the new series.

In addition to Bush, Burton Morgan, and Ackles, the original cast of One Tree Hill included James Lafferty, Chad Michael Murray, Bethany Joy Lenz, Paul Johansson, Lee Norris, and Antwon Tanner. The show, which ran for nine seasons, also featured Jackson Brundage, Lisa Goldstein, Austin Nichols, Robert Buckley, Shantel VanSanten, and Jana Kramer in later seasons.

The narrative centers around a group of high school students in a fictional town in North Carolina. The sequel will also see Edwards serving as an executive producer alongside Bush, Burton Morgan, Danneel Ackles, and her husband, Jensen Ackles, with Emily Moss Wilson taking on the role of producer.
